Firefox is one of the best opensource browsers available. There are many reason to use Mozilla Firefox as a default browser. Some of are given below:

6. One of the main feature is that you can direct modify into the Firefox by just typing about:config

Here first I am going to edit the mozilla firefox to increase the net surfing speed.
Following are the steps:
1. Go to the Firefox browser address bar.
2. Type about.config and enter
3. Here you will see the following code:
accessibility.accesskeycausesactivation true
accessibility.blockautorefresh false
accessibility.browsewithcaret false
…
….
……
In the page you search out the following string and edit.
Alter the entries as follows:
* Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
* Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
* Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30.
Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer.
Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″.
This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.
This will surely speedup Firefox browser speed.
