Alternatives to Google Analytics.

To begin here Google Analytics is a good web analytics program. Google provide this service free of charge and used about 57% of the user who checks for the web analytics.

google-analytics-logo1It contains good user interfaces stats display designs, but i don’t like one thing about the Google Analytics that it doesn’t give the real time stat when it is required.

also it is not possible to to have stats on your web server.

The Web Analytics programs are built in different programming language like PHP,FLASH,JAVA,CGI(Common gateway Interfaces).

PHP:-

stats1PHPstats - The advantage of this Analyzer is that it gives you the Page views in order they are viewed. The good thing about the PHPstat is that it is installed on the web server and the all stats are tracked on your server. Five month back the support and forum were in FRENCH language but now that have been modified in English.

Slim Stat - This is very simple stat analyzer, it is developed by modifying the Shaun Inman’s great ShortStat. It allow to show the visitors IP address and allow you to block the certain IP address to access your Website, also filter the Spams. Only disadvantage is that doesn’t show you the graph of stats. Free tool to use.

It has a great support forum for any questions. My friend have tried HitStats and found the dashboard has some very beautiful graphs with some great data.

sitemeter-ie7-43pct-thumb

SiteMeter - SiteMeter is also a real time blog and website stats analyser tool. Sitemeter got all the features that all othe Analytics program have but only good is that it allows you to view who is on your site now. It is a neat and wanting feature that could be pretty useful. It also has a counter that could go on your website Theme.

CGI(Common gateway Interfaces) :-

AWStats - AWStats is a free of cost to use, It is  powerful tool that generates the analysis on advanced web, streaming, ftp or mail server statistics, graphically. There is no tracking code you must install on your website in order for AWStats to track users, It uses your server or hosting log to track your visitors. I have used AWStats in the past and it is a great tool.

Flash:-

mochibot_graph

Mochibot – MochiBot is a modern and latest Flash traffic monitoring tool (similar to a hit counter) that tracks the performance of individual Flash content files (SWFs) no matter where they end up on the web. If your SWF is on 4 different servers, then MochiBot will count the number of views and accesses that SWF got for all 4 servers. It’s perfect for tracking how viral your Flash content is and good stats for any Flash websites. It is totally free to use.

good post to start with georgy ! i personally tend to look for alternatives that could give me a better analysis and user trends than the old Google Analytics.

I recommend a paid service named ClickDensity, that presents the overlay of the user’s website with color coding based on clicks received( max clicked area=red, medium clicked area=orange) , there’s a free trial available… obscenely interactive !
